Matthew Ellias — Founder
Matthew Ellias is the founder of KitchenLoopAI, bringing a background in technology, sales, business development, hospitality, and professional sports.
Raised in Detroit and a graduate of Indiana University Bloomington, Matthew built his career around understanding customers, solving real-world problems, and bringing new ideas to market. Today, he is based in Miami, where he founded KitchenLoopAI with a vision to make the everyday kitchen smarter and more automated.
KitchenLoopAI was created around a simple idea: your kitchen should understand what you have, help you decide what to make, reduce unnecessary food waste, and anticipate what you need next.
From growing up in Detroit, to studying in Bloomington, to building KitchenLoopAI in Miami, Matthew’s approach has remained consistent: identify a meaningful problem, create a practical solution, and build technology that can become part of everyday life.
Sarah / The Creative Spark
Sarah is the dedicated parent whose evening battle to convert a packed refrigerator into actual dinners sparked KitchenLoopAI. Amidst professional duties and family logistics, she sought a method to use existing food, limit waste, and nourish her children. She remains the soul of the KitchenLoopAI vision.
KitchenLoopAI was born in an American kitchen
A Tuesday at 6:17 p.m. started it.
KitchenLoopAI emerged from within a normal home, at 6:17 p.m. on a typical Tuesday. Sarah was a career-focused mother managing the home on her own most nights. She aimed to provide her kids with nutritious, homemade food—better for their health and her finances—but the grind of work, transportation, and chores left her drained. Nightly, she faced a fridge that appeared stocked but offered no inspiration. Ingredients purchased with the best intentions often spoiled. Ordering in was becoming the default far too frequently. She required a solution to utilize what she already possessed, within her limited timeframe, for her loved ones. Transforming a cluttered fridge into a coherent strategy to save money and reduce food waste was the goal. That specific, pressing need shared by countless families evolved into KitchenLoopAI. Now, KitchenLoopAI empowers active homes to photograph their pantry, freezer, or receipts to immediately discover recipe options. It adjusts for dietary needs, time, expertise, and health targets—ensuring that making dinner is no longer a source of daily stress.
